Longrange blog 230: MSRC stage 3, Pop-up targets

Midnight Sun Rifle Challenge 2017 is THE Scandinavian competition to participate in if you want to develop yourself as a shooter. Good infrastructure, nice people and nice scenery. Come and explore yourself as a shooter.

This is stage 3, Pop-up targets. 8 targets inside a range bracket of 440-680 meters, otherwise distance is unknown. 16 shots available, target will fall on first hit. Ample time, so you can mil the targets if you like.

Training and strategy tip for this stage:
The LR Proficiency test will give you the basic skills needed for this stage. Since min/max distance and target dimentsions (40cm wide) are known, you can pre-determine the range for MRAD measurements: 0,9 MRAD/440m. 0,8 MRAD/500m. 0,7 MRAD/570m. 0,6 MRAD/670m. This allows you to range very quickly and set a very good range adjustment on the scope and hit the targets with relative ease.
