Linder Solingen (Carl Linder Nachf.e.K. Germany) SUPER EDGE 5 Bushcraft knife in Hitachi ATS 34 stainless. A new release from Linder Solingen, made in Germany, super comfortable grip of Kraton, The SUPER EDGE 5 in ATS 34 is a great camping and hiking knife. Not too heavy not light but a sturdy blade with a good point. The HRC of 60 in ATS 34 really stays sharp. I cut up meat, fruit and vegetables on varying surfaces, none of which were clean and most very abrasive on knife edges.
Types of wood processed with the Linder ATS 34 Super Edge 5 Bushcraft knife over several days were:
Drift woods from the beach (covered in sand)
and Bamboo (green)
Meat I processed with the Linder ATS 34 Super Edge 5 Bushcraft knife was:
Sheep and duck.
My experience with ATS 34 (in a STRIDER knife) is over 15 years and this steel is tough and is very capable of holding an edge for a very long time under field usage. The Linder Super Edge 5 Bushcraft knife is available with 2 versions of carry systems and an optional fire steel. See my blog to learn more about this great little knife. There I show details of the tang of the Super Edge 5 Bushcraft plus other details.

I'm glad to see a manufacturer such as Linder Solingen producing knives in ATS 34 (All of their SUPER EDGE models). Many say this is an outdated steel but don't be led astray by marketing hype. It was, and still is a very good (stainless) steel for outdoor knives.
