Longrange blog 241: MSRC stage 15, Know you limits longrange

Midnight Sun Rifle Challenge 2017 is THE Scandinavian competition to participate in if you want to develop yourself as a shooter. Good infrastructure, nice people and nice scenery. Come and explore yourself as a shooter.
This is stage 15, Know your limits longrange:
3 minutes, 5 +1 shots, 5 targets. Shoot the targets in order 1 to 5. You score progressively higher if you shoot the farther targets, but you lose all points if you miss. If you miss, you can shoot a lifeline followup shot and salvage the points you scored prior to the miss. If you miss the lifeline shot, all points are lost.
You call outy "Quit" or "Next" after each shot. You can continue shooting even after the lifeline followup shot is used, but there is no additional lifeline shot available.
Target 1, ø 30 cm/ range 332 meters.
Target 2, ø 35 cm/ range 448 meters.
Target 3, ø 35 cm/ range 576 meters.
Target 4, ø 35 cm/ range 825 meters.
Target 5, ø 40 cm/ range 1009 meters.
Training and strategy tip for this stage:
The LR Proficiency test will give you the basic skills needed for this stage. Know that the winddrift will always increase with range. Hold/click progressively more. Correct for minimum estimate on wind velocity and aim at target edge (into the wind). Remember to reload so you have a lifeline shot available.
